Basketball Recap: Hallsville Skates Past North Callaway with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Hallsville over North Callaway in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Hallsville Indians blew the North Callaway Thunderbirds out of the water with a 70-29 final score. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Blevins, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Clayton Moore, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for Hallsville, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for North Callaway, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hallsville will face off against Moberly at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moberly is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season. As for North Callaway, they will square off against South Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
