Basketball Game Preview: Highlands Highlanders vs. Hayesville Yellowjackets

Highlands hasn't had much luck against Hayesville recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Highlands Highlanders just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Hayesville Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Hayesville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Highlands, who comes in off a win.

Highlands took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Blue Ridge Early College by a score of 60-52.

Meanwhile, Hayesville came up short against Andrews on Friday and fell 49-42. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Hayesville now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Highlands, their win bumped their record up to 7-15.

Highlands couldn't quite finish off Hayesville when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 47-45. Can Highlands avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
