While Clay's win against Genoa Area wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Comets 4-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Clay's record is now 13-3. As for Genoa Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay will face off against Napoleon at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.89 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Genoa Area, they will square off against Rossford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
