Baseball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Wins Going Away Against Redlands Adventist Academy

Cornerstone Christian got themselves on the board against Redlands Adventist Academy on Thursday, but Redlands Adventist Academy never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Redlands Adventist Academy Bulldogs with a sharp 14-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2021.

Jayden Soto made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, David Meinardus was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Alec O'Sullivan was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Cornerstone Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Redlands Adventist Academy struck out seven times.

The victory made it two in a row for Cornerstone Christian and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian will venture away from home to challenge Nuview Bridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Redlands Adventist Academy, they will face off against Lucerne Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
