Basketball Game Preview: Battery Creek Dolphins vs. Whale Branch Warriors

The Battery Creek Dolphins will head out to take on the Whale Branch Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Battery Creek can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home last Friday. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wando. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Battery Creek had strong showings from Tyrese Smith, who went 5-for-9 en route to 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals, and Micheal Williams, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 17 points. Ethan Cox was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Whale Branch was able to grind out a solid win over Royal Live Oaks Academy on Monday, taking the game 46-37. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Royal Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Everything went Battery Creek's way against Whale Branch when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Battery Creek made off with a 69-47 win. Will the Dolphins repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
