Softball Recap: Bell County Bobcats vs. Garrard County Golden Lions

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Bell County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 win over the Garrard County Golden Lions. While the Bobcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Adyson Scott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over 8.2 innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off 12 hits. Scott was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Tristan Saylor was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Kyliegh Allen was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
