Baseball Game Preview: St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings vs. St. Mary's Saints

The St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings will square off against the St. Mary's Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

St. John's Catholic Prep's last matchup with St. Paul's could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Vikings lost 10-0 to the Crusaders. The game marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Indian Creek on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Saints have won by just one run.

St. Mary's pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
