Chardon had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Strongsville Mustangs by a score of 8-3.

Tyler Noerr tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Chardon's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kyle McCoy, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Chardon pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Strongsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Coming up, Chardon will be playing at home against Nordonia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Strongsville, they will venture away from home to challenge Twinsburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
