The St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks will be playing at home against the Springfield Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springfield took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Helena College and Career Academy, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, St. Helena College and Career Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over the Jaguars, taking the game 53-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Helena College and Career Academy.
Meanwhile, Springfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northlake Christian. Springfield has struggled against the Wolverines recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Defeat or not, Springfield got some senior leadership from Tobias McGee and Caden Dykes. McGee scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals, while Dykes. scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Robert Culbertson was another key contributor, scoring five points.
St. Helena College and Career Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Springfield, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
