Volleyball Recap: Bowler Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bowler can now relate to. They came up short against Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

While Bowler had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Bowler saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jessa Hartleben had 14 digs and two assists. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Hartleben.

Bowler's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.

As of now, neither Bowler nor Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran/Providence Academy have any future games scheduled.
