Softball Recap: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. LaBrae Vikings
Mineral Ridge lost a close one when they played last Thursday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 12-3 defeat at the hands of the LaBrae Vikings. Mineral Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mineral Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaliyah Wall, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On LaBrae's side, Riley Rowe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Rowe was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, a stolen base, and a run.
In other batting news, Mariah Jones was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. Morgan Thompson was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Mineral Ridge now has a losing record at 1-2. As for LaBrae, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
