Monache hasn't had much luck against El Diamante recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Marauders will welcome the Miners at 4:30 p.m. Monache is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Monache will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Porterville, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Marauders came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 12-9 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Marauders.
Brody McCoy was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. McCoy was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Monache got a big performance out of Ty Baxter, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Baxter has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ethan Giannetto, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Monache was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for El Diamante, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Golden West on Thursday by a score of 6-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
D'Angelo Dalle Mese was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for El Diamante: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-12-1 otherwise. Troy Loftin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Monache's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for El Diamante, their win bumped their record up to 9-12-1.
