Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview lost against Tri-Valley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Ridgeview Mustangs took a blow against the Tri-Valley Vikings, falling 48-15. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 518th, while the Vikings are ranked 121st).

Ridgeview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Tri-Valley, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Ridgeview will challenge Flanagan/Woodland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-Valley, they will take on Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eureka will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tri-Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
