Salem snaps five-game streak of losses at home

Recap: Salem Rocks vs. Novi Wildcats

The Salem Rocks's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-58 win over Novi. The win was all the more spectacular given Salem's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 429th, while Novi is ranked 112th).

Among those leading the charge was Mitchell Robillard, who scored 19 points. His trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Aydin Saiyed, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Salem's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Novi, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Salem will head out on the road to challenge Canton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Novi, they will be playing at home against Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
