Softball Recap: West Scranton Invaders vs. Valley View Cougars

West Scranton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Valley View Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to West Scranton of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.

West Scranton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Keenan, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base.

On Valley View's side, Abbi Call and Tessa Stafursky were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Call didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. West Scranton will be playing in front of their home fans against Scranton Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valley View, they will head out on the road to square off against Wallenpaupack Area at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
