Softball Recap: Frankfort Panthers vs. Franklin County Flyers
Frankfort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 25-3 walloping at the hands of the Franklin County Flyers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Frankfort of the 20-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Gracie Sams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBI.
Even though they lost, Frankfort hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.
Frankfort's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Franklin County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.
