Basketball Recap: Nathaniel Sansom's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Whitharral over Lorenzo

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whitharral can now relate to. They fell just short of the Lorenzo Hornets by a score of 77-75 on Thursday. It was the first time this season that the Panthers let down their fans at home.

Whitharral lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nathaniel Sansom, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 14 boards. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Brenton Robinson, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 18 points and five assists.

Whitharral's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Lorenzo, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Whitharral nor Lorenzo have any future games scheduled.
