Football Game Preview: Plant Panthers vs. Strawberry Crest Chargers

The Plant Panthers will kick their season off against the Strawberry Crest Chargers on Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.

While Chargers fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over Carrollwood Day.

Strawberry Crest's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.

As for Plant, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (11-8), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.

Everything came up roses for Plant against Strawberry Crest when the teams last played back in March of 2023, as the squad secured a 39-0 victory. Does Plant have another victory up their sleeve, or will Strawberry Crest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
