            Volleyball Recap: Annapolis Panthers vs. Douglass Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Annapolis was the  3-0 winner over Douglass when they last played one another  back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of  3-2 on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Annapolis actually scored more points across those five sets (105-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23,  15-11.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Douglass to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Lauren Thomas, who  had 18 assists. Those  18  assists gave  Thomas a new career-high.
Annapolis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Douglass, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the  win, which was their ninth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Annapolis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  loss against Chesapeake on the 16th. As for Douglass, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  defeat against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North on the 20th.
