Volleyball Recap: Wauwatosa East Gets the Win

Wauwatosa East saw some tournament action on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the West Bend West Spartans 2-1.

Sylvia Flood paced Wauwatosa East's offense, picking up 15 kills. Flood got some help from Juliet Otto and her 23 assists.

When it comes to explaining why West Bend West lost, don't look at Emy Miller. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and four assists. Miller is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Wauwatosa East's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for West Bend West, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Wauwatosa East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Homestead on the 30th. As for West Bend West, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Xavier on the 30th.
