Softball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Trinity's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Franklin-Simpson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Trinity will challenge Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will square off against Ohio County on Monday.
