Baseball Recap: Holdrege Takes a Loss

Holdrege was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Platte Bulldogs.

Chance Bailey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Kegan Steinke was another key player, earning two RBI and one run.

Holdrege's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for North Platte, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holdrege is set to challenge their familiar foe Crete at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Platte will take on rival Adams Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
