Soccer Game Preview: Reavis vs. Shepard

The Reavis Rams will take on the Shepard Astros at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Reavis' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Thornwood 3-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Reavis were the better team in the second half.

Isabella Lopez and Camila Flores scored all three of Reavis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contest, Shepard brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Marian Catholic on Monday, sneaking past 4-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Shepard's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Shepard's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Reavis, their win bumped their record up to 5-2-1.

Reavis was able to grind out a solid victory over Shepard when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 2-0. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Astros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
