Basketball Recap: Lacrosse Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

LaCrosse had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Lee Holopirek did his part to make it 11 on Tuesday. The LaCrosse Leopards managed a 51-46 victory over the Dighton Hornets thanks in part to Holopirek, who went 10 of 20 on his way to 32 points and five steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.6 points per game.

When it comes to explaining why Dighton lost, don't look at Daniel Cramer. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 9 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of George Von Leonrod, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

LaCrosse's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Dighton, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

LaCrosse and Otis-Bison will compete for holiday cheer on Friday. LaCrosse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season. Dighton will take on Wallace County in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
