Basketball Game Preview: Carnegie Wildcats vs. Hydro-Eakly Bobcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Carnegie Wildcats challenge the Hydro-Eakly Bobcats at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-28, which was the final score in Carnegie's tilt against Fort Cobb-Broxton two weeks ago. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Hydro-Eakly was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 50-45 to Southwest Covenant.

Carnegie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hydro-Eakly, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Carnegie beat Hydro-Eakly 54-44 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Carnegie repeat their success, or does Hydro-Eakly have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
