Mt. Zion took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Limestone Rockets 49-0. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
A big part of Mt. Zion's victory came down to the chemistry between Keller Stocks and his top target Jacob Harvey. Stocks threw for 189 yards and five touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes while Harvey picked up 150 receiving yards and three scores. That's the most passing touchdowns Stocks has posted since back in September of 2024.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion will face off against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Limestone, they will take on Galesburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
