Football Recap: Palm Desert Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Palm Desert walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Marina Vikings on Friday as they made off with a 31-7 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.

Palm Desert's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.6 points over those games. As for Marina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Palm Desert will take on Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aztecs will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Marina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
