Basketball Game Preview: Houlka Wildcats vs. East Union Urchins + How To Watch

The Houlka Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the East Union Urchins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Houlka will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Monday, Houlka made easy work of Falkner and carried off a 57-32 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Houlka to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle Clark, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Winter, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Houlka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

East Union not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 17th (when they won 88-52). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hickory Flat 77-42. The Urchins haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The win got East Union back to even at 3-3. As for Houlka, their record now sits at 7-0.

Houlka couldn't quite finish off East Union in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 62-59. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
