Recap: Lawrence County Wildcats vs. Archbishop McNicholas Rockets
After a string of seven wins, the Lawrence County Wildcats's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 54-46 to Archbishop McNicholas. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lawrence County has scored all season.
Andrew Ehlers was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Archbishop McNicholas. The matchup was Ehlers' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Mitchell Conrad was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Lawrence County and Rockvale will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Archbishop McNicholas won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pensacola Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on December 29th. Pensacola Catholic is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
