Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Park Lions vs. Evergreen Park Mustangs

The Lincoln Park Lions and the Evergreen Park Mustangs will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln Park's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Lincoln Park was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 24-23 to Chicago Hope Academy. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while Chicago Hope Academy are ranked 118th).

Meanwhile, Evergreen Park came up short against Bloom on Tuesday and fell 53-45.

Evergreen Park's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lincoln Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Lincoln Park came up short against Evergreen Park when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 36-26. Can Lincoln Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
