The Gross Catholic Cougars had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Lincoln Lutheran 58-33. This was payback for Gross Catholic, who suffered a 51-33 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Lincoln Lutheran's lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jenna Luebbe, who scored 12 points. Sophie Wohlgemuth was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Gross Catholic's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Lincoln Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
