Appleton East posted their closest win since August 30th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Notre Dame Academy Tritons, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Notre Dame Academy lost, don't look at Kailyn Kline. Despite the final result, she had seven digs, six aces, and one block. Addy Madson was another key player, getting nine assists and six digs.

Appleton East's win bumped their record up to 8-20. As for Notre Dame Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-22.
