Softball Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian and Fountain Central squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Faith Christian had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-5 to the Mustangs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured 13 defeats in a row.

Keely Frier was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Gracyn Musick also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Fountain Central, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-17 record.

Faith Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fountain Central, they will face off against Lafayette Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
