Baseball Recap: Great Valley Takes a Loss

Great Valley lost against East back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joey Newell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Powell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Great Valley's record is now 14-6. As for East, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Valley will face off against Lower Merion at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for East, they will square off against Garnet Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
