Baseball Recap: Bell Comes Up Short

If Bell was riding high fresh off their 22-5 takedown of Polytechnic on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bell Blue Raiders took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Worth Country Day Falcons on Saturday. The Blue Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Bell's loss dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Fort Worth Country Day, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Bell will challenge Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Worth Country Day, they will take on Lake Belton at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Belton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Fort Worth Country Day's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
