Football Recap: South Williamsport Beats Muncy for Their Fourth Straight Win

After losing to Muncy the last time they met, South Williamsport decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mountaineers walked away with a 28-20 win over the Indians on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Mountaineers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Muncy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Andrew Walters, who threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Gavin Barrows, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one score.

South Williamsport's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Muncy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Williamsport will face off against rival Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Muncy is set to square off against their familiar foe Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
