Buckeye Local took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Edison, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers skirted past the Wildcats 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Buckeye Local took Edison into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 16-25, 19-25, 15-8.

Jenna DelVecchio paced Buckeye Local's offense, picking up 23 kills. DelVecchio got some help from Samantha Westfall and her 24 assists. Jadyn Pleise controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Buckeye Local picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Buckeye Local has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Beaver Local on the 4th. As for Edison, they will venture away from home to take on Sandy Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
