Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Takes a Loss

Victory Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Stephens Roadrunners, falling 70-47.

It was another big night for Kason Powell, who went 12 for 20 on his way to 28 points for Stephens. Powell's evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Powell, who went 7 of 14 en route to 14 points.

Victory Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Stephens, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. Victory Christian will head out to face Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Stephens will host them at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th.
