Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ludden Beats Cortland for Their Third Straight Victory

Bishop Ludden had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cortland Purple Tigers.

Bishop Ludden was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-6, 21-25, 25-11.

Bishop Ludden had a senior duo take command as Isabella Coppola had seven aces and one assist and Gianna DiNiro had six digs and two aces. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Coppola.

Bishop Ludden was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive matches.

Bishop Ludden's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Cortland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Bishop Ludden will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jordan-Elbridge at 6:30 p.m. Cortland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
