Volleyball Recap: Rutland Comes Up Short

Rutland lost against Howard back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hurricanes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Rutland ultimately came up short, they really made Howard work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-15.

Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Howard, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Rutland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Southwest on the 11th. As for Howard, they will challenge Kendrick at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
