Soccer Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Waterloo was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They fell just short of the Columbia Eagles by a score of 1-0. Waterloo were not able to make up for their defeat to Columbia from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Columbia, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Waterloo didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Jersey on the 16th. As for Columbia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Granite City on the 17th.
