Basketball Recap: Cimarron Rams vs. Des Moines Demons

Cimarron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Des Moines Demons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Demons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 50-34 loss two weeks ago.

Des Moines found their leader in freshman Rylan Brown, who posted 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Jadyn Atwater was another key player, putting up four points in addition to 11 boards and four blocks.

Cimarron's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Des Moines, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Cimarron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-50 loss against Springer on the 11th. As for Des Moines, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-10 victory against New Mexico School for the Deaf on the 11th.
