Christ the King is 7-1 against Langtree Charter Academy since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Christ the King Crusaders will host the Langtree Charter Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Christ the King's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Langtree Charter Academy has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Christ the King lost 67-41 to Lincoln Charter on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Eagles are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Langtree Charter Academy lost to Community School of Davidson at home by a 70-56 margin on Friday. The Lions were down 57-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Loss or not, Langtree Charter Academy got some senior leadership from Martynas Petrauskas and Anthony Nesbit. Petrauskas posted 14 points in addition to five boards and three blocks, while Nesbit went 5 for 10 on his way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Nesbit has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Carlson Johnson, who had eight points.

Langtree Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Christ the King, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Christ the King strolled past Langtree Charter Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 63-44. Will Christ the King repeat their success, or does Langtree Charter Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
