Preview: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Bowling Green Bobcats
Springfield is 2-8 against Bowling Green since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Springfield Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the Bowling Green Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Springfield fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Ross with a 49-44 victory on Friday.
Springfield relied on the efforts of Camren Whitmire, who scored 11 points, and Kai Taylor, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Aaron Adams was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bowling Green was able to grind out a solid win over Napoleon on Friday, taking the game 57-49.
Springfield's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Bowling Green, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Things could have been worse for Springfield, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-44 loss to Bowling Green when the teams last played back in January.
