Basketball Recap: Tioga Takes a Loss

Tioga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Union Springs Wolves 78-40. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 759th, while the Wolves are ranked 166th).

Tioga's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Union Springs, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Springs, they will be playing at home against Moravia at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
