Baseball Recap: Gibbs Takes a Loss

Gibbs lost against Union County two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 4-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gibbs has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Union County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-12-1 record this season.

Gibbs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Union County has already played their next game (against Anderson County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
