Volleyball Recap: Grossmont Beats Canyon Hills for Their Third Straight Win

Grossmont entered their tilt with Canyon Hills on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Rattlers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Foothillers have posted since September 21, 2024.

Sofia Reid paced Grossmont's offense, picking up ten kills. Reid got some help from Jacqueline Villalobos and her 21 assists. Alexis Holman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win got Grossmont back to even at 4-4. As for Canyon Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Grossmont has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Clairemont on the 30th. As for Canyon Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against San Diego at 6:00 p.m. The Rattlers are facing the Cavers at the right time seeing as the Cavers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
