Basketball Game Preview: Eau Claire North Huskies vs. D.C. Everest Evergreens

The Eau Claire North Huskies will head out to face off against the D.C. Everest Evergreens at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Eau Claire North came up short against Rice Lake and fell 59-46. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, D.C. Everest took a blow against Stevens Point on Friday, falling 59-21. While losing is never fun, the Evergreens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Panthers are ranked 64th).

D.C. Everest has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Eau Claire North, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Eau Claire North took their win against D.C. Everest in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 61-41. Will Eau Claire North repeat their success, or does D.C. Everest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
