Basketball Recap: Aledo Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Aledo can now relate to. They fell to the Denton Broncos 45-40. The contest marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Brown, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Sheats, who put up nine points.

Aledo's defeat dropped their record down to 27-7. As for Denton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-14 record this season.

Aledo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Denton, they will challenge Arlington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington Heights will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Denton surely won't give up without a fight.
