Volleyball Game Preview: Unity Eagles vs. Bloomer Blackhawks

The Unity Eagles will square off against the Bloomer Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Unity is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Durand-Arkansaw. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Unity took Durand-Arkansaw into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Bloomer earned a 3-1 victory over Fall Creek on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Crickets: they've now won three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 22-25, 25-13.

Unity's victory bumped their record up to 25-13. As for Bloomer, their win bumped their record up to 22-15.

Unity was able to grind out a solid victory over Bloomer in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
